Multiple personalities

I love American singer songwriter Tori Amos and i find her concept of multiple personalities intriguing. The notion of an alter ego has never made much sense to me; we are too complex as human beings to have just one inner, hidden self. She draws 4 strands of her personality, names each one and dedicates certain songs to each woman.
Isabel is based on Artemis, the Greek Goddess of the Hunt. Then we have Clyde, Amos' emotional and idealistic side, inspired by Persephone, Goddess of the Underworld. Pip is a warrior based on the Goddess Athena and the fourth is Santa is inspired by Aphrodite and is Tori's sensual side.
Being pretty unfamiliar with mythology and folklore i find myself feeling very ignorant. However i am inspired to create my own "selves".
